A Legacy Artist for the 100th Anniversary of the Saskatchewan Legislature
December 5, 2012

Heather Cline is collecting 100 Saskatchewan Symbols to embed in a legacy painting celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. The artwork will be one of the pieces placed in the rotunda of the building as part of the Artist-in-Residence Legacy Program.

As part of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building 100th Anniversary celebration, eight Saskatchewan artists have the unique opportunity to explore the history and significance of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building through their own artistic practice involving two components, community-engagement and a permanent legacy artwork. The artistic inspiration for the both residency components is the vision, construction and reality of the Legislative Building, a building that represents the character, ambitions and spirit of Saskatchewan people.

The unveiling of all artworks is scheduled for December 5, 2012 - program in the Rotunda, Legislative Building.
