Creative Saskatchewan Presents ‘Saskatchewan’ at Blackall Studios in Shoreditch, London.
The exhibition offers an unparalleled opportunity to discover the diverse artistic talent of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Curated by the world-renowned artist Adrian Stimson and featuring pieces from twenty seven of the region’s artists, the ‘Saskatchewan’ exhibition will delve into the immense artistic, cultural and ethnic diversity that has long characterised the region’s art.
‘Saskatchewan’ will feature an exciting selection of works by artists from the Métis, Cree and European peoples of Canada. The pieces range through paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, bead, stone and wood works. The exhibition will celebrate the history, power and diversity of Saskatchewan’s artistic community. Wild Thing: Prairie as Concept, Prairie as Environment SOFA CHICAGO
Saskatchewan, Canada has always been at the cutting edge of the Arts and Craft movement. Often considered quiet and subdued, this influential province engages artists in wild and diverse ways yet maintains a uniqueness all its own. Curator Michael Hosaluk demonstrates how this inspirational place influences the material and content of the work presented at SOFA CHICAGO. This exhibition will feature the work of 30 artists from Saskatchewan and will also tour to New York. (SOFA Chicago: November 6-9, 2014)

Trade Mission NYC will be a platform for the most comprehensive presentation of art and culture from Saskatchewan ever in New York. Trade Mission NYC will include an art exhibition, a series of concerts, receptions and special events. "Wild Thing", the art exhibition component of the trade mission, is a snapshot of the history, power and diversity of the arts in Saskatchewan. Curated by Michael Hosaluk, the exhibition will be on view at Lightbox, 339 West 38th Street, and will feature the work of 30 artists from Saskatchewan including Heather Benning, Lorne Beug, Mel Bolen, Victor Cicansky, Martha Cole, Ruth Cuthand, Joe Fafard, Brian Gladwell, Gary Greer, Greg Hardy, Michael Hosaluk, June Jacobs, Marie Lannoo, Jefferson Little, Zachari Logan, Ellen Moffat, Jeff Nachtigal, Clint Neufeld, Alison Norlen, Alica Popoff, Les Potter, Anita Rocamora, Jamie Russell, Adrian Stimson, Martin Tagseth, Doug Taylor, David Thauberger, Sean Weisgerber and Zane Wilcox.
